Both Shortstraw and Matthew Mole, are no strangers to music lovers, with Matthew Mole being nominated for both ‘Best Pop Album’ and ‘Best Male Artist of the Year’ at the South African Music Awards, this talent-ed singer and songwriter brings to the Gardens his unique blend of Folk music with an Electronic backbone as a multi-instrumentalist, performing with kick drums, guitar, harmonica’s and more. Known for his singles ‘Take Yours I’ll Take Mine’ and ‘The Wedding Song’ fans of Matthew Mole can look forward to his first show back in Pretoria after spending time in London writing and recording his new album.

Shortstraw are the 5 piece indie rock band from Johannesburg whose comical lyrics along with dashing good looks have catapulted the band to multiple nominations and awards including the ‘Best 2014 Album’, ‘Best Music Video’, ‘Best Indie Band’ and ‘Best Alternative Band at the MTV Africa Music Awards’. Their singles ‘Bikini Weather’ , ‘Good Morning Sunshine’ and ‘Couch Potato’ have seen success on radio and in 2015 released their second full length studio album – Youthless.
