People in South Africa seem to be more aware of their health these days. Gyms are busier and everybody seems to be on one diet or other.
There is also a fairly new craze that’s hit South Africa and is growing from strength to strength. Parkrun South Africa organise free 5km runs/walks on a weekly basis. These runs/walks are open to anyone who wants to take part. They are free, safe, easy and a lot of fun to take part in.
Parkrun takes part across the world and this includes various cities in South Africa. Johannesburg alone has various Parkrun events on a weekly basis throughout the city and surrounding areas. Some of the areas include: Alberts Farm, Boksburg, Bryanston, Delta, Ebotse, Goldan Harvest, Lonehill, Mondderfontein, Rietvlei, Roodepoort and Woodlands.
