During December 2011 the three judges of MasterChef SA were announced. They are:
Benny Masekwameng
Benny Masekwameng is currently the Executive Chef at Mondo Vino restaurant at SunSquare Montecasino in Gauteng. This is the restaurant that will be given away as part of the R8 million grand prize to the winner of MasterChef SA.
Pete Goffe-Wood
Peter Goffe-Wood owns the Kitchen Cowboys cooking school in Hout Bay. He also consults to hotels and restaurants.
Andrew Atkinson
Andrew Atkinson is the Executive Chef at Piccolo Mondo restaurant at the Michelangelo Hotel in Sandton. He also presented various cooking programs on SABC 2 during the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
MasterChef South Africa premieres on Tuesday 20 March 2012 at 19:30.
Dale is a 28 year old jack of all trades from Benoni. (He claims to be one of the brighter ones from Benoni). Dale is originally from a small town near Port Elizabeth called Utinage, but has been living in East Rand for most of his life… (although Utinage is not much better than Benoni!)
