Gold Reef City excitedly welcomes Flavours of India, the largest Indian shopping festival in the South of Johannesburg, back for a fifth consecutive year. This hub of all things Eastern is returning to Johannesburg’s premier family entertainment destination in the South from Thursday, 9 March, to Tuesday, 21 March 2017.
The Flavours of India festival has grown in popularity amongst the local community. It has gained tremendous traction in Gauteng as one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year. The event provides visitors not only with the best in traditional Eastern clothing and homeware, but also has an array of foods such as the famous bunny chow, fried mealies, curries, roti and sweetmeats on offer.
Apart from being a celebration of culture, Flavours of India also provides the perfect opportunity to bring families together, and caters for both young and old. Guests can look forward to buying the best in accessories, books and gifts, as well as enjoy daily live entertainment by local youngsters, along with upcoming artists. Arrive with your dancing shoes on, because on Saturday, 11 March, Jozi Chutney will take to the stage from 18h00 to 22h00. On Saturday, 18 March, prepare yourself for the bhangra bash, which is taking place from 20h00.
“In 2017, Flavours of India celebrates its fifth consecutive year, and Gold Reef City is once again delighted to host this event, where visitors will be enchanted by an Eastern inspired extravaganza of song, dance, food and fashion,” says Lionel Chetty, Gold Reef City’s Promotions & Events Manager.
Tickets for the Flavours of India spectacular cost R10 per person and are available at the entrance only.
